Teen Lifeline’s board of directors, staff and volunteers remember Jules Firetag as the president of our board, the presenter at our events, the comedian at our meetings and a friend to us all.
Jules was a leader who led with actions. He was always the first to volunteer his time, the first to challenge the “easy way out” and he consistently led with integrity, honor and grace. The organization would truly not be what it is today were it not for the help and guidance from Jules Firetag.
Just before Jules passed away, our board members were charged with raising $2,000 per person. Knowing Jules, his family requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Teen Lifeline. We had to smile when we realized that, in true fashion, Jules was one of the first to raise his share. We sincerely thank each and every person who has made a contribution in his name. As Jules would have wanted it, each dollar will be appropriately spent to help further our organization and reach troubled teens in crisis.
Jules’ dedication to Teen Lifeline is demonstrated by the legacy created upon his death. We will always strive to honor that memory.
